well I guess all those nights in my car didn't really get us very far only as far as the miles we drove just so I could hold you and I guess all those times that you called didn't really mean much at all only as much as the excitement you felt only as much as the excitement I felt just so I would want you Now I know where to go when I'm feeling alone in my bed and If you ever see me on the side of the road I'll always give you a drag of my smoke but It's getting so dark out but it's gotten so cold out I should probably go home
2.
Can I come home to you? Is that something that you'd want to do? or do you want something entirely new? Can I come home to you? is that something that you'd want to do? or do you want something entirely new? 'cause I'd bury pits in the ground fill 'em up with concrete I wouldn't make a sound I promise to be complete I swear that I would be a dream

so this is that crushing weight that I've heard so much about I've got to tear up all this pavement but it has to be well thought-out hardened tar like a shell over my young eyes slamming my face into the wall again tonight trying to break the case trying to escape and the road is laced with something a lot more dangerous than I had imagined tell me something good show me something better take me to the woods then just drag me underwater oh, oh underwater that's where I'll find her oh I might need yr help this time, you guys 'cause I can't seem to remember a single moment from my whole life hardened tar like a shell over my young eyes slamming my face into the wall again tonight trying to break the case trying to escape and the road is laced with something a lot more dangerous than I had imagined tell me something good show me something better take me to the woods then just drag me underwater consider this the intro to the book I'll never write; consider this the intro to the book I start tonight; I think to myself nobody will ever love you the way that I loved you but I hope they do I really, really do

Why can't you believe me sometimes? why can't I believe me sometimes? when I'm back in my home and I'm feelin' so alone I think I need a little rest or maybe your hand up on my chest yeah, I'd try that yeah, I'd try that Why can't you believe me sometimes? Why can't I believe me sometimes? when I'm downtown alone or I'm back at my home and I'm feelin' so stoned then I'm back downtown again alone I think I need a little rest or maybe your hand up on my chest oh, I'd try that oh, I'd try that yeah, I'd try thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

you were comin' up short you were standin' in line I was out on the street, man, about half the time we're passing out in the sun and with the passing of time I just can't care anymore yeah, you were something divine you took me back to my house I was sloppy but fine yeah, you put me down man, and everything was alright you were out all the time here at the bottom of it I just can't stand it we're passing out in the sun and with the passing of time I just can't care anymore man yeah, you were something divine you took me back to my house i was sloppy but fine yeah, you took me down man, and everything was alright you were comin' up short you were back in my mind I was out all the time, man but now you're in line [something about the way it is tonight something about all the filthy wires inside something about the way it is with us all the time something about the way it is with us all the time] that's why I'm here that's all I fear

We were kids sitting on the bed, In our parent's house, inside my head. Now I'm standing on the sidewalk, And that thing's not covered up in chalk. That's when I got the call, That's when it all fell apart. Darling, [redacted] Don't ever leave Don't do that thing that makes my brother scream Don't do this to my family Now I'm staring at a phone, watching as my father talks to God, for the first time in such a long time. Now I'm in a stranger's home With my brother and his future wife. Now I'm sitting on a hill, Now I can finally feel everything. Darling, [redacted] Don't ever leave Don't do that thing that makes my brother scream Don't do this to my family That's when it all went down That's how I feel now That's why all I know now is... Green little blades up on your house now Pink little worms inside your house now All that dirt inside your mouth now And I'm the one who's cutting the blades back down

about

"The fact that Western Daughter are creating and producing orchestrations this intelligent proves their musical abilities and their impressive workmanship, the band are on the edge of releasing their astonishing and frankly stunning 7 track EP, which will win you over. This raucous indie-punk band fuse various elements yet create something they can call their own, with lo-fi attributes, compelling lyrics and addictive emo-esque vocals, gritty bass lines, angular riffs and a fierce tone..." - Circuit Sweet

"We highlight a lot of unique artists [...], but I can safely say that we’ve never come across an act quite like Western Daughter. Born amidst the foothills of Boise, Idaho, these intuitive up-and-comers readily blur the boundaries between a wealth of different genres, resulting in an exceptional sound that will surely appeal to even the broadest musical palettes." - Under The Gun Review
